ANZ Leadership Transition
Dr Meredith Thomas has been appointed as the new ANZ Medical Director. Having served as a Clinical Director at Everlight for the past three years, Dr Thomas brings a wealth of experience from both the public and private sectors. Her tenure has been defined by a strong background in clinical governance and a dedicated focus on advocating for radiologists to improve workflow and quality of care.
Dr Thomas succeeds Dr Avi Saks, who steps down after seven years of exceptional service as the ANZ Medical Director. We are pleased to confirm that Dr Saks will remain a vital part of the team, continuing his work as a reporting Radiologist and moving into a Clinical Director role with the ANZ MLC.
Dr Avi Saks noted:
"It has been remarkable to be part of the story of Everlight, from its earliest beginnings to becoming a truly global company. While it has been professionally rewarding, more than anything else, it has been a great privilege to have served our radiologists. I am delighted that Dr Meredith Thomas will take over as the new Medical Director; she has shown great competence and insight, and under her guidance, the MLC will continue its vital work in governance and improving the radiologist experience."
Dr Meredith Thomas added:
"The role of the Medical Director really comes down to two key focuses: client engagement and radiologist engagement. As we continue to grow, it is essential that we maintain our commitment to excellence while ensuring we provide the best possible environment for our clinicians to deliver high-quality care. I am excited to lead the ANZ team through this next phase of expansion."
UKI Leadership Transition
In the UKI region, Dr Clare Ashwin will take over the role of UKI Medical Director. Dr Ashwin has been a valued colleague since 2017, possessing unique insights gained from working across both our UK and Australian operations.
With three years of experience on the UK MLC and an extensive career within the NHS, Dr Ashwin has demonstrated a balanced approach to clinical governance and a steadfast commitment to our patients and clients. She has worked closely with the outgoing director over the last year to ensure a seamless transition.
Dr Dan Rose shared his support for the appointment:
"I have been privileged to lead as the UKI Medical Director since 2017. As Everlight expands, passing the baton to Dr Clare Ashwin is the right step for our future plans. Clare brings extensive experience and has materially supported our radiologists, clients, and patients. These are exciting times at Everlight and I have no doubt that both Meredith and Clare are the right leaders to allow us to make the next leaps forward."
Dr Clare Ashwin commented:
"My goal is to ensure Everlight is seen as a true partner and a seamless extension of our clients' local clinical departments. By building these deep relationships and integrating our expertise with their teams, we can continue to deliver the highest standards of care. I look forward to building on the incredible foundation Dan has established."
Global Medical Leadership
Dr Dan Rose will be moving into a newly evolved role as Global Chief Medical Officer (CMO). Having chaired the Global MLC for the past four and a half years, Dr Rose will now focus on a broader remit, overseeing the strategic clinical direction of the organisation and ensuring Everlight remains at the forefront of teleradiology standards worldwide.
We congratulate Dr Thomas and Dr Ashwin on their new roles and thank Dr Saks and Dr Rose for their continued leadership as we enter this next phase of growth
