This event marked a significant milestone for the Everlight Radiology team, as it was the first South African conference we have attended since unlocking our specific South Africa reporting service. It provided the perfect setting for ANZSA CEO Wayne Hartmann, South Africa Country Manager Alishna Maharaj, and Radiologist Engagement Manager Clive Kairuz to manage the Everlight stand.
Over three busy and successful days, the team connected with potential new clients and radiologists from the region. The conference offered a robust programme of educational talks and networking events, allowing paediatric and generalist radiologists from across the globe to share insights. We also added a touch of Australian flair to the proceedings with a raffle, where one lucky winner took home a Gourmet Bites hamper.

Expanding our footprint in South Africa
Our presence at the conference underscores our recent expansion into the South African market. By launching a dedicated reporting service for the region, we are bringing our global expertise to local healthcare providers. This expansion allows us to offer tailored solutions that meet the specific regulatory and clinical needs of the South African healthcare landscape, ensuring that local facilities have access to high-quality diagnostic reporting when they need it most.
Supporting practices with urgent and routine care
A key topic of conversation at the stand was how we are currently supporting radiology practices across the spectrum of their workload. We understand that modern healthcare demands flexibility, which is why our services are designed to cover both urgent and routine reporting.
Whether it is managing after-hours emergency cases to reduce burnout for local teams or assisting with routine reporting backlogs during peak periods, our goal is to act as a seamless extension of local practices. This support ensures faster turnaround times for patients and a more sustainable working environment for on-site radiologists.
Growing our global radiologist network
The conference also gave us a chance to discuss how we are actively growing our cohort of radiologists. We are committed to recruiting and retaining top-tier talent both onshore in South Africa and around the world.
By expanding our global network, we can leverage the "follow the sun" model, where radiologists located in different time zones can report on cases during their daytime, providing high-quality support to South African practices 24/7. This approach not only maintains high clinical standards but also offers our radiologists flexible working arrangements that suit their lifestyle.
Thank you to Wayne, Alishna, and Clive for representing Everlight and making our return to the conference circuit in South Africa such a success. We look forward to building on these new connections in the year ahead.
