Our 'follow the sun' radiology reporting model removes the burden of overnight working and excessive shifts, reducing the risk of burnout and making more space for your life outside of work.

We use time zones to the benefit of our doctors and patients, linking hospitals with our network of experienced Radiologists located all around the world. You could be working regular waking hours, providing life-saving care to critically ill patients in the early hours of their morning. If you’re interested in working overseas, we will make it happen. Or you can stay local and choose to work whenever suits your lifestyle.

Whatever you choose, you’ll be part of a collaborative community of over 500 highly experienced consultant radiologists in a global network that champions clinical excellence and personal development. It’s a flexible teleradiology career with the chance to achieve both your personal and professional goals.

Frequently asked questions

Where can I work?

You can work from anywhere within the UK or internationally with a fast internet connection.

When can I work?

We offer you the flexibility to work the way that suits you, your family and your other commitments. This means you can work daytime, evenings, weekdays, weekends, part time or full time.

How many hours a week will I need to work?

We generally require our team of home based radiologists to work 10 hours a week, that’s spread over a 40 week year.

How do I receive and maintain the equipment I need to report?

Our bespoke technical systems can be operated anywhere that has a fast, reliable internet connection – so if you’re working from a new location within the UK or overseas, we can send you a diagnostic workstation and our technical team will come to you to assist with configuration. Our IT and technical support teams are always on standby to help with any issues once you’re set up.

What systems do you use?

We have our own in-house developed RIS, meaning that you will only need to be trained on our system, not each of our clients. We use Intelerad PACS and Powerscribe 360 voice recognition.

What cases will I report?

Everlight provides both general and sub-specialty services to its clients. We assign sub-specialty cases to radiologists based on their sub-specialty expertise.

What areas of the world can I move to?

We have job opportunities for GMC Specialist Radiologists to join our teams in Australia and New Zealand – and similarly, for FRANZCR specialists within our UK centres reporting for our Australian and New Zealand clients.

What are your levels of pay and benefits?

We offer an attractive remuneration package, along with additional generous pension/superannuation.

What training and CPD do you provide?

We have a comprehensive induction programme to ensure that all of our Radiologists are well trained in our systems and processes. We provide ongoing training and support through regular clinical governance meetings chaired by our Medical Director and host regular subspecialty educational events – CPD points are awarded for attendance.

I’d like to travel. How flexible are you with rosters?

Our 24/7 international teleradiology model means we can be more flexible with shift times – so if you’d like to take time off or travel, you can. Some of our British Radiologists choose to work a 7 on/7 off roster allowing plenty of time to see the sights. You can even travel and work your way across Australia and work in a different city each month!

What type of cases will I be reporting on?

You’ll be reporting on a challenging mix of British emergency cases during your daylight hours – with plenty of opportunities to work on your subspecialty as well.

I’m not accredited in the UK. Can I still apply for a reporting role?

Yes. Everlight is a global teleradiology provider with opportunities available for experienced Radiologists with; GMC, IMC and FRANZCR accreditation.

What support will I be offered as part of Everlight?

Everlight has offices across the globe which means 24/7 clinical, IT and operational support for all of our Radiologists. We have a dedicated operations team who’ll work with you to ease the pressures that can come with case selection, case load, reporting and liaising with clinical teams – so you can focus on providing the best possible patient care. You’ll be working side by side with a team of British, Australian and New Zealand Radiologists.

How do you ensure the quality of my reports?

Quality is one of the hallmarks of Everlight. So much so, that we’ve built a quality assurance peer-review model into our RIS – called Everlight QA.

Along with Everlight QA, we also perform daily audits on a randomly selected basis – to maintain the highest possible standard of reporting

Who helps manage my caseload and case selection?
Every one of our radiologists works closely with our operations teams – who help to manage case selection, caseload, reporting and liaising with clinical teams.
