"I think it is invaluable for radiologists to get feedback on the style and content of their report through the peer review process. It’s not something that's usually done outside Everlight Radiology."

Frequently asked questions

Why should I work with Everlight?

Everyday is critical at Everlight. As part of our team, you’ll be given the opportunity to challenge yourself – refining your skills in radiology, and making a real difference in people’s lives. We’re a global company and offer you the chance to grow as a radiologist and work within any one of reporting centres worldwide.

With the support of leading technology, processes and systems, you’ll be exposed to all kinds of radiology cases, as you continue learning and developing in the company of leading specialist radiologists.

Where are your offices located?

Our head office is located in central London, opposite Warren Street tube and a few minutes walk to Euston station. We also have local offices in Leeds, Belfast, Leicester, Doncaster, Chertsey, Warrington, Maidstone and Penzance.

Can I work from more than one office?
Yes, absolutely. You can work from one or more of our offices across the UK or from Australia, New Zealand or South Africa too.
What cases will I report?

You’ll be reporting on a challenging mix of British emergency cases during your daylight hours – with plenty of opportunities to work on your subspecialty as well.

What is the standard length of contract?

Generally one year, although we may be able to accommodate shorter periods too. If you already have the right to work in Australia there is no minimum term.

How flexible will my work roster be?
You will be supported by a dedicated relationship manager who will work with you to devise a roster that suits you, your family and your other commitments. This means you can work from 3 hours a day to 3 hours a fortnight, as well as daytime, evenings, weekdays, weekends, part time or full time. There are no minimum hourly commitments when working from one of our UK centres.
I also work in an NHS hospital. Will I be able to continue that while reporting for Everlight?

We offer flexible working hours – including weekends, part-time and casual hours. So depending on your workload at the hospital, you might be able to complete work with Everlight as well.

What support will I be offered as part of Everlight?

Everlight has offices across the globe which means 24/7 clinical, IT and operational support for all of our Radiologists. We have a dedicated operations team who’ll work with you to ease the pressures that can come with case selection, case load, reporting and liaising with clinical teams – so you can focus on providing the best possible patient care. You’ll be working side by side with a team of British, Australian and New Zealand Radiologists.

What training and CPD do you provide?

We have a comprehensive induction programme to ensure that all of our Radiologists are well trained in our systems and processes. We provide ongoing training and support through regular clinical governance meetings chaired by our Medical Director and host regular subspecialty educational events – CPD points are awarded for attendance.

Do I need to sit further examinations to work as a Radiologist in Australia or New Zealand?

No, using your GMC specialist registration, you will report for British hospitals, there is no requirement to be registered with Australian/New Zealand medical councils.

Will you be able to help me gain a working visa?

Yes. We will organise your Australian or New Zealand working visa for you.

What are your levels of pay and benefits?

We offer an attractive remuneration package, along with additional generous pension/superannuation.

What systems do you use?

We have our own in-house developed RIS, meaning that you will only need to be trained on our system, not each of our clients. We use Intelerad PACS and Powerscribe 360 voice recognition.

Will you be able to provide my GMC appraisal and revalidation?

Yes. Our robust governance framework allows for GMC appraisal and revalidation.

What’s the environment like in your local offices?

Every Everlight office is built on a culture of collaboration and accountability. Our teams work hard to deliver the very best in patient care – both supporting and learning from each other, and having some fun along the way.
