Key Areas of Responsibility
- Managing and deploying applications to AWS using Infra-as-code (GitOps)
- Administration of AWS environments and migrations of applications to AWS
- Collaborate closely with other teams to ensure consistent architectural alignment (including Networking, Linux, Windows & containers)
- Provide analysis, response, and resolution to incidents and service requests as escalated by our support team
- Assist with mentoring technical staff on applied concepts that fall under the role’s responsibilities
- Assist with creating and maintaining centralised documentation for technical staff (guides and knowledge sharing for designs, system builds, support, administration)
- Assist with monitoring & alerting cloud systems (deploy, alert, recover)
- Assist with the management of key vendors and service providers
- Achieve maximum system uptime and performance through considered design
- Enforce and support a recurrent update maintenance schedule as applicable (security, features, releases, etc.)
- Assist with security considerations, implementations, and management thereof
Ideal Candidate Profile
This position will suit a subject matter/DevOps expert in administering public cloud IaaS platforms and their contained services, with 5 years of analytical experience and 2 years of administrative experience. The candidate will exhibit a strong capability and willingness to pick up and understand new concepts, especially regarding teleradiology imaging workflow systems.
We are looking for a skilled, passionate, and collaborative individual to join our growing global team, one who can incubate a keen interest in technology that drives medical imaging to ultimately improve patient outcomes.
Essential Experience and Skills
- Advanced experience in the design, deployment, and maintenance of production IaaS environments
- Advanced knowledge and experience with AWS services including but not limited to:
- Compute - EC2, ECS, Lambda, ELB, Serverless
- Migration from on-prem to AWS
- Management – CloudFormation / CDK / Terraform
- Database & Storage – S3, RDS, DynamoDB, Athena
- Networking – VPC, Direct Connect
- Security & Monitoring - IAM, CloudWatch, VPC
- Source control / CI/CD pipelines
- Design, implement, and deploy docker containers and their orchestration systems
- CI/CD pipelines of cloud services and general process automation through scripting (Bash / Python / Node.js)
- Experience with hybrid infrastructure design, implementation, and maintenance (cloud vs. on-premises)
- Advanced experience in change and configuration management, including stakeholder engagement and achieving endorsement
- Deep familiarity with cloud pricing models, efficient resource management, and knowing what designs/systems are most cost-effective within cloud environments
- An experienced advocate of various open-source software initiatives
- Experience in designing resilient and scalable systems (fault-tolerance, load- balancing, clustering, et al)
- Experience in the application of information security practices in the cloud
- Well-practiced in DevOps framework and methodologies
- Familiarity with business continuity and disaster recovery techniques
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Flexible attitude and ability to perform under pressure

- To have strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills

Desirable Skills
• Experience in SQL Server and database administration

• Understanding of DICOM and HL7 protocols
• Experience in machine learning and its practical application
• Experience in ISP-level networking (ASNs, iBGP, eBGP, etc.)
• Experience in administering medical imaging environments (PACS)
• Experience in radiology or teleradiology workflows
• Familiarity with compliance against ISO 27001 or HIPAA
• Exposure to ITIL standards and processes
