We caught up with our new Clinical Director, Clare Ashwin, on her background, experience and how she came into the new role at Everlight.

Clare Ashwin

How long have you been at Everlight?

I started working for Everlight in 2017 alongside my Consultant post in the NHS. In 2022 I moved out to Sydney with my family to work for Everlight full time covering the out of hours urgent workflow for the UK.

What does your new role entail?

Now I am back in London for my new role as Clinical Director. It has a lot of variety involving support for reporting radiologists, mentoring new recruits, liaising with our clients and clinical governance. It’s about representing Everlight, supporting our team and helping Everlight become bigger and brighter!

Any areas of special interest in radiology?

I originally trained as a paediatric radiologist but my specialist interests have developed to include chest and emergency imaging.

What are you most excited about at work this year?

I am really looking forward to meeting our clients and developing the connection with Everlight and supporting all my amazing colleagues the best I can.
