Everlight Radiology and University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH) have been announced as finalists in the public private partnership category in the United Kingdom’s 2016 Health Investor Awards for their teleradiology joint venture, Radiology Reporting Online (RRO**).
Headquartered in Sydney, Everlight is an established teleradiology firm providing radiology reporting services to hospital-based and private imaging clinics across Australia and New Zealand.
Everlight’s pioneering follow-the-sun business model, recognised in the Australian 2015 BRW Most Innovative Companies, offers a 24/7 service reporting on some 40,000 cases each month. Since 2006, the company has been delivering this valuable and vital service to support hospitals and healthcare providers for enhanced patient care.
Everlight and UCLH invested equally to form RRO in 2011, with UCLH bringing the clinical excellence and leadership of a major foundation trust and Everlight its proprietary software, systems, processes and commercial expertise. RRO now operates the largest network of teleradiology reporting centres across the UK.
Now in its tenth year, the prestigious Health Investor Awards recognises innovation and promotes excellence in the UK health sector. 2016 winners will be announced in London on 15 June.
**In 2017 Everlight Radiology, with backing from ICG, acquired UCLH’s 50% ownership in RRO. Radiology Reporting Online is now trading as ‘Everlight Radiology’.
