Who You Are
You are a highly motivated business development professional with a proven track record of winning new business, negotiating contracts, and building long-term strategic relationships within healthcare.
You thrive on identifying and creating opportunities, navigating complex stakeholder environments, and delivering commercial results. You are equally comfortable engaging with hospital executives, procurement teams, clinicians, and operational leaders, and you have the credibility and confidence to influence at all levels.
Most importantly, you are a team player but entrepreneurial, self-driven, and passionate about improving healthcare in Ireland through innovation and collaboration.
Purpose of the Role
The Business Development Manager will lead the identification, development, and conversion of new commercial opportunities across Ireland's healthcare sector. Working closely with the Country Manager for Ireland and the wider UKI leadership team, you will be responsible for the full sales lifecycle; from prospecting and relationship building through to tender submission, negotiation, contract execution, and account growth.
The role will focus on expanding Everlight's presence across public and private healthcare services, while supporting strategic growth initiatives throughout Ireland and selected UK projects. Success will be measured through new contract wins, revenue growth, market expansion, and the development of strong, long-term client partnerships.

Key Responsibilities
This is a multi-faceted role in a small but growing team based in Ireland and includes, but is not limited to:
Business Development & Sales
- Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities across the HSE and private healthcare sectors.
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, driving opportunities through to contract award.
- Achieve agreed commercial and revenue growth targets.
Stakeholder Engagement
Develop trusted relationships with senior healthcare stakeholders including:
- Hospital executives
- Procurement teams
- Clinical directors
- Radiology service managers
- Digital transformation and informatics teams
Tendering & Contracting
- Lead and support public and private healthcare tender submissions.
- Negotiate commercial, contractual, and service delivery agreements.
- Support framework applications and procurement processes.
Account Growth
- Identify opportunities for contract renewal, service expansion, and strategic account development.
- Work collaboratively with operational and clinical teams to ensure successful onboarding and delivery.
Market Intelligence & Strategy
- Monitor healthcare market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities.
- Contribute to the development and execution of Everlight's commercial strategy in Ireland.
Reporting & Forecasting
- Maintain accurate CRM records and sales forecasts.
- Provide regular commercial updates and market insights to senior leadership.
Essential Requirements
- Healthcare Business Development Experience: Proven success in healthcare sales, business development, account management, and commercial growth within Ireland.
- Sales, Contracting & Negotiation Expertise: Demonstrable experience managing complex sales cycles, leading contract negotiations, and securing high-value commercial agreements.
- Strong Healthcare Market Knowledge: Understanding of Irish healthcare structures, procurement processes, and stakeholder engagement across public and private healthcare sectors.
- Relationship Building & Influencing Skills: Ability to develop trusted relationships with senior executives, clinicians, procurement teams, and operational leaders, driving opportunities through to successful outcomes.
- Commercially Driven & Self-Motivated: Strategic thinker with excellent communication, presentation, and organisational skills, capable of working independently to deliver ambitious growth targets.
- Travel: Willingness to travel regularly throughout Ireland and the UK as required.
