Prostate MRI: Pathway, Protocol and Reporting considerations
Educational aims/learning objectives:
- Understand the evolving role of multiparametric MRI in the work-up of prostate cancer
- Appreciate the main MRI protocols and their interpretation
- To recognise the advantages and limitations of each technique
- Understand the relevance of MRI for treatment decision-making and management triage
- Reporting styles: template reporting and what to include

Bladder MRI: What the urologist wants to know
Educational aims/learning objectives:
- Appreciate urology referral pathways and how staging affects management
- Importance of patient preparation and how this may affect image quality
- Know the appearance of bladder tumours on T2WI, DWI and DCE
- Understand the staging accuracy and limitations of MRI and its sequences
- Be aware of interpretation pitfalls in bladder MRI

Speaker profile:
Tristan Barrett is currently a University Lecturer at the University of Cambridge and an Honorary NHS Consultant Radiologist where he is the clinical lead for uro-radiology. He has previously worked as a Visiting Fellow at National Institutes for Health, USA in the Molecular Imaging Program from 2005-2007. Following completion of his radiology training at Cambridge, he undertook a fellowship in body imaging at the University of Toronto, Canada. He is the lead author of 3 books, has written several book chapters and review articles and has published over 70 papers. His main research interest is prostate cancer, in particular multi-parametric MRI techniques for identifying and characterising tumours.
