Key Objectives

  • To understand the types of errors made in trauma imaging, and why we, as radiologists, make them.
  • To review specific injury types that are commonly missed in trauma imaging, and why these are missed.
  • To explore ways we can reduce the likelihood of missing important imaging findings in trauma patients.

BSc (Med) MBBS (Hons) MMed FRANZCR

Dr Vedelago completed his medical degree with Honours at the University of New South Wales. While training at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney, he completed a Master of Medicine (majoring in Clinical Epidemiology) at the University of Sydney. He subsequently completed an MRI Fellowship at St Mary’s Hospital, Imperial College, in London.

A Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists, Dr Vedelago has special interests in body MRI and emergency radiology. He has published in a variety of peer-reviewed journals in these fields, presented at international meetings, and maintains involvement in research and teaching in these areas.

In 2021 he was elected to the RANZCR Australian and New Zealand Emergency Radiology Executive and is a Medical Director, EverLearning at Everlight Radiology.

Special Interests: Emergency Radiology and MRI Imaging.
